SYMA has an unsaturated desire for serving the Society. In our sojourn, we understand the need for shaping the children and inculcating in them the good qualities, making them responsible citizens.
It is a known fact that 10th Standard is the first time when students have their First Public Examination and the results makes them. Those unfortunate who fail have their life heading somewhere else. There are times when students are not properly taught in school or find it difficult to express themselves and have their doubts cleared arising out of fear of asking in public and for want of resources. SYMA planned to provide good quality education training for those students who suffer for want of opportunities and dreamt of quality tuition to Students free of cost.
On 6th July 2008, Mr R Sekar, IPS, Commissioner of Police launched our Tuition Centre ‘Growth’ and a right beginning was made. Last year we tasted grand success with very good results.
The classes for the present academic year started on July 10th 2010 after our initial screening and there was scramble as many students joined our tuition centre. We very happily arranged this to be nearly whole week affair with classes for 12th {Commerce & Science – Tamil and English medium} and for 10th [both Tamil & English Medium]
The no. of attending students did taper off, but we marched on in our desire heading for a worthwhile destination. It is said that if one discovers oneself deviant from the destined path, there is need for course correction with the lessons learnt through the experience. We have indeed learnt some lessons.
Quality Education offered free is the path chosen by us and we aim at changing the life of some under privileged children who otherwise would not have access to quality tuitions.
Praying for the success of our students, SYMA organized a Pooja on 19th Mar 2011 at NKT National Boys High School . A small prayer was conducted by Chinnamurai Archagar of Sri Parthasarathi Swami temple who wished and blessed the children appearing for 10th Public Examinations. The students also offered prayers and were given writings instruments by SYMA with hearty wishes for doing well in the examination.
TA Sampathkumar, President spoke some words motivating the children to do well. Me also spoke urging the children to plan themselves for the examinations and not to postpone studies till the last date. Its time for them to brace up and score well in the examinations, which will ensure a bright future. SYMA motivated them further with assurance that financial grant would be given for all the students of SYMA Growth who score more than 400 in the examinations.
