The French Open is over and the venue fastly shifts to Wimbledon . The defending champion Francesca Schiavone was defeated by the fierce Li Na 6-4, 7-6(0) for her first-ever Grand Slam title for a player from Asia . Li Na’s success should buoy the game of tennis in China
Schiavone’s favourite heavy topspin forehand did not work much on te day. The men’s section was fought more intensely and was one of the great matches. Rafa outshone classically Fed to win 7-5, 7-6, 5-7, 6-1 and equal Bjorn Borg's record of six Roland Garros titles. The Spaniard displayed a great game, mental toughness, stamina and everything on way to winning. The Majorcan, Rafael Nadal has now ten major titles and is becoming a legend.
