The May 2011 issue of BLISS – the newsletter of SYMA is available here.Bliss-052011
The IPL 4 extravaganza is over and the series at Caribbean may not enthuse as highly as these 74 games did ! – the IPL has brought to fore many other issues – the player certainly is the person to decide when and where to play – but there are other aspects of National interest and aptitude and ….. more.
This year was tough for SYMA Growth – we started with many groups of students which tapered down in the end. In +2, we enjoyed moderate success with 40 out of 45 passing and 3 securing more than 1000 marks. In X, the performance has been excellent. All but one of our 23 passed and 14 secured more than 400 – in fact 5 of them got more than 450. SYMA Growth primarily is not a tuition centre aimed at making school toppers, the primary objective is to offer quality education to those who could ill-afford that extra care and might even fail, when such support is not extended.
This issue contains among other things :
- a capsule on SYMA Growth and the performance of our students
- the medical camp conducted by us on 24th April at Bharathiar Illam
- details of the Annual General Meeting of SYMA and the new team of Office bearers
- a small incident at Triplicane and the good response of the Corporation official
- our monthly Q is on the popular talk show which aired its last episode on 25th May 2011 after being on air from 1986.
The applications forms have been distributed and soon we will be enrolling students {appearing for 10th and +2 public exams} after personal interview. Our annual Educational Aid programme wherein we provide financial assistance to students and uniforms to more than 1200 students are to follow.
Look forward to receiving your feedback
Yours truly,
