A few decades ago, there were few schools and poor could ill-afford even primary education. The right to education seeks to change this totally and provide education to all.
At school, students should never feel discriminated and one form of removing any possible indignation was to make them attend school in uniforms. We have been providing uniforms to children ensuring their attending school with dignity. Even in a metropolitan city like Chennai, there are children who cannot afford good dress and our distribution of uniform has been handy to good number of students in attending school with dignity. Our present issue details at length our Educational Aid Programme held on 28th July 12, whence we distributed uniforms to school children, financial assistance to select college students, honoured toppers of our Tuition Centre and of schools in Triplicane. Padma Bushan awardee, nonagenarian Mrs Sarojini Varadappan was the Chief Guest. Read inside about the Education Aid programme.
