John McAfee on the run... captured in Belize !!!

So much of our life depends on Computers ~ we spend so much of our time on Computers.  Computers can be affected by Virus, malware and the like and all Offices do use some strong safeguards.  

McAfeee is a leader among those offering protection to Computers.  It is claimed that McAfee VirusScan Enterprise combines anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall, and intrusion prevention technologies to stop and remove malicious software. It also extends coverage to new security risks and reduces the cost of responding to outbreaks with the industry’s lowest impact on system performance.  McAfee, Inc. is an American security software company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, USA. It markets software and services to home users, businesses and the public sector.  A couple of years ago, there was news that Intel had  agreed to purchase McAfee for $7.68 billion (£5 billion). The company was founded in 1987 as McAfee Associates, named for its founder John McAfee, who resigned from the company in 1994.   In 2011, McAfee revealed a parental software called McAfee Family Protection in India which is useful for parents to keep track of how their children are connected with the Internet and what they are browsing about.

The person who founded the enterprise, John McAfee is on the run and is not protected by the anti-virus programme.   He is news as the pioneering software developer's blog has been updated claiming 'unconfirmed' reports that he has been apprehended; however, Belize police say software millionaire is wanted for questioning but no arrest warrant has been issued. John McAfee, 67, has been on the run since November 11th - when his American neighbour Gregory Faull was found dead.  Reports quoting Belize national police state that the whereabouts of the multimillionaire software developer are still unknown. Additionally, it is stated that  authorities have issued no arrest warrant in the murder of McAfee's neighbor and fellow American Gregory Faull.

Reports quoting McAfee's blog, whoismcafee.com, was updated on Saturday afternoon with an 'unconfirmed report that John McAfee has been captured at the border of Belize and Mexico.' ` which the Police deny stating that John is not in their custody.  McAfee has frequently used the rambling blog to keep the world updated on his bizarre attempts to evade captured in the Central American nation, which have included dressing in outlandish disguises and swapping cell phones over to avoid satellite detection.  He has in the past claimed that there exists enough material to keep the blog going for a year and has also stated that should anything happen to him a man named Chad would be put in charge of posting information - and it seems that day has come.

Earlier in a brief talk with a CNN reporter, McAfee had said, 'I will certainly not turn myself in, and I will certainly not quit fighting. I will not stop my blog.'  The  last six months have proven to be one odd episode after another for McAfee, which began in May when his home was raided and police said they found multiple firearms and the 67-year-old living with a 17-year-old girl.  One such incident reported by him was that 42 armed Belizean officers allegedly stormed his compound, arrested him and detained him for 14 hours with no food or water, and then let him go without charges.  There are some reports that he has been hiding out in the jungles of Belize and wearing disguises in public when he needs to purchase supplies.  McAfee says he is innocent and that he will not turn himself in.  His blog details his jungle adventures, his ongoing claims of government corruption, his thoughts about the highly addictive drug bath salts, and his own personal investigation into Faull’s murder; skeptics are disputing the validity of McAfee’s claims.

Belize (earlier British Honduras)  is a country located on the north eastern coast of Central America and it is the only country in the area where English is the official language, although Kriol and Spanish are more commonly spoken. Belize is bordered to the north by Mexico, south and west byGuatemala, and to the east by the Caribbean Sea.  So at Belize, the anti-virus software appears not to be working for its founder……. Or is it actually protecting and shielding him away from his misdeeds.
