India Book of Records representatives that the girl has entered the India Book of Records after which she was presented a certificate.  It is ‘Dolly Shivani Cherukuri’ who will be celebrating her 3rd birthday shortly !

Archery is not followed by all ~ though, Limba Ram took it to greater heights and made it  more popular when he equalled an archery world record in 1992 at the Asian Championships in Beijing. The archer who won PadmaShri award in 2012 was a  product of the Akhil Bharatiya Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram which is working for the socio-economic upliftment and development of India's indigenous tribes in the remote tribal areas of India.

It is stated that Dolly Shivani Cherukuri was conceived through surrogacy after the death of her brother, an international archer and coach, in a road accident in 2010. The couple's eldest daughter had died in 2004. Just nine days before her third birthday, Shivani became the youngest Indian to score 200 points over five and seven-metre distances according to Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury of the India Book of Records. "She has become the youngest in the country to achieve the feat," Mr Chowdhury said by telephone from the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, where the successful record attempt was made….. and it will be a record hard to break !

Dolly's parents said they had arrows specially made for her out of carbon when she was first learning the sport to ensure she could carry them. "When we came to know that the baby was on her way we decided to mould her as an archer," said her father Cherukuri Satyanarayana, who runs an archery academy.  India boasts a strong record of success in archery.

Her brother Cherukuri Lenin was a National Archery Coach under Limba Ram. He had earlier won a Silver medal at the Asian Grand Prix in Malaysia.   His students Ritul Chatterjee and Chittibomma Jignas, won silver medal in the Archery compound team event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games at New Delhi. Sadly, in 2010 - at 26, he died in a road collision near Ibrahimpatnam while he was returning to Vijayawada from Hyderabad after attending the felicitation to the Commonwealth Games medallists organised by the State Government and Sport Authority of Andhra Pradesh.   It was stated that he was instrumental in producing more than a dozen national and international archers from Krishna District. He had  accompanied Indian teams to various international tournaments as coach.

Appreciations and all the best wishes to the young prodigy - Dolly Shivani Cherukuri.  Wish her winning greater laurels.

In May 2014,  Olympian archer Limba Ram was allegedly duped of Rs 5 lakh by a person who reportedly was his student,  who also took away his Padma Shri certificate in the name of opening an archery academy in Hanumangarh.  Limba Ram filed a FIR at Jaipur.  The person allegedly lured Limba into plans of buying a land and also took away the Padma Shree certificate stating it was required for completing the formalities. !!
