On Sunday night, the famous  rapper took the stage at the inaugural The Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens, only to cut his headlining set short due to a "family emergency."   The news later came that his wife, was held at gunpoint and robbed during her stay in Paris.  Kanye West's assistant broke the news to him about an hour into his show, just as he launched into Heartless. The interruption earned some NSFW reactions from fans, already frustrated with the rapper after he showed up 30 minutes late for his set.

There is news everywhere ~ as  well as being left 'badly shaken' by the shocking robbery in her Paris lodgings last night, his famous wife  may have had a dazzling ring worth £3.5million stolen from her. The reality star is believed to have been robbed of £8.5million  [in Indian Rs. 72.50 crores !] of jewellery including the sparkler which was her second engagement ring designed by her husband Kanye West. Kanye gifted his wife with the ring just last month and she hasn't stopped flashing it on social media since.  Whilst the exact pieces that were taken haven't been confirmed, Kim had been wearing the eye-catching 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring in her pictures, as well as during her outings in Paris.  She was seen wearing the ring in the last Snapchat she posted late on Sunday night

The luxury residence where the woman  was robbed at gunpoint is so exclusive it is known as the 'No Address France' locally. The reality star, 35, had millions of dollars worth of jewellery stolen by five armed masked men while staying at l'Hotel de Pourtalès, which is located in Paris' 8^th  district. Its popularity with celebrities earned it this nickname, because it is not widely advertised – its website requires a log-in to even view - and attracts customers discreetly simply through word of mouth.  However, it is now in the media spotlight after the robbery, which was carried out by men wearing police uniform.

But .. .. its high security could not stop, the famous dame being attacked in the early hours of this morning. The men stole a jewellery box worth €6 million ($6.7 million) and a ring worth €4 million ($4.5 million), prompting fears that the valuables were personal ones, and not just jewellery.  Reports suggest that at  around 2.30am, the robbers entered the building after the concierge let them in. Handcuffed and at gunpoint, he then led them to the starlet's flat.  They entered her room, threatened her with a weapon, tied her up and locked her in the bathroom. The mother-of-two, who is in the city for Paris Fashion Week, is 'badly shaken but physically unharmed', a spokesperson told DailyMail.com.  She has since been pictured being hurried onto a private jet at the city's Le Bourget to flee the country.

The ring is thought to be even more impressive that the first giant 15-carat sparkler from Lorraine Schwartz, thought to be worth upwards of $1.6 million (£1.24 million). She also  owns a wedding band by Lorraine Schwartz, which Kanye apparently designed for his wife to match her engagement ring.  Whilst a price was never revealed, it is thought to be in the region of $4 million (£3.1 million). She was also wearing grillz by Dolly Cohen whose  cheaper pieces are those made from gold but grillz appear to be adorned in diamonds, undoubtedly making the piece more expensive.  The shocking raid on the apartment has all the hallmarks of the Pink Panthers, a gang of super-criminals who have got away with tens of millions of pounds in jewels in high-profile heists since 1984. The gang, whose members mostly hail from Serbia and Montenegro, have stolen more than £280million.

The woman in news is - Kimberly "Kim" Kardashian West, a famous  reality television personality, socialite, businesswoman and model.  In recent years, Kardashian has grown an influential online and social media presence, including tens of millions of followers on Twitter and Instagram. Time Magazine included Kardashian on their list of 2015's 100 most influential people, while Vogue described her in 2016 as a "pop culture phenomenon."

If the Pink Panthers were involved in the robbery at Kim's home - a luxury block apartment block called Hotel Pourtalès - they would have done their homework reports Daily Mail.  They probably monitored Kim's social media and may have seen the jewellery she was wearing in Paris after she Snapchatted a picture.  They would have cased the building beforehand. It is not a proper hotel, but a portered building containing nine flats designed for multi-millionaires. The Kardashians regularly stayed there when they came to Paris, as did Madonna, Leonardo Di Caprio, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the late Prince. 

At this apartment, masked men put a gun to her temple, left her tied up in the bathroom of her luxury residence in Paris and stole millions of dollars' worth of jewellery in the early hours of Monday. Handcuffed and at gunpoint, he then led them to the starlet's flat. Kim reportedly 'begged for her life' and told the gunmen she had children at home when two of them entered her room and held the gun to her head. The men stored many a valuables.  She rushed out of Paris in a private jet; once reached US, shaken terrible, there was  a huge security presence outside Kardashian and husband Kanye West's Manhattan home - after her security team were blasted for allowing the robbers to reach her Paris bedroom.  The incident comes just five days after Kim praised her personal bodyguard Pascal Duvier as 'the best in town' after he saved her from being tackled by serial prankster Vitalii Sediuk.  It is reported that Pascal was not with Kim when the raid took place.
