Of the many landmarks
of Chennai, there are some famous clubs.
Presidency Club at Ethiraj Salai, founded in 1929 is a landmark – SYMA has
reasons to feel happy for the invite that we got to be there on 5th
Feb 2017.
Srinivas Youngmens
Association, founded in 1977 has been rendering service to the Society without
expecting any recompense; yet it is a great feeling to be honoured – on that
day our President TJ Ramani was handed over ‘Service above Self Award’ by
Rotary Club of Royapettah, 3230.
Rotary
International would not require any introduction – the global league has
millions of members whose stated purpose is to bring together business and
professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high
ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around
the world.
Rotary
Club of Royapettah 3230 President Rtn T
Ganesh, Secretary Rtn Paari Sridattan and Rtn G Saravanan, Vocational Services
had invited office bearers of SYMA for a dinner at Presidency club. In the meeting – ‘Service above Self Award’
was conferred on SYMA, award received by SYMA President TJ Ramani. Yours Truly spoke about the social services
rendered by SYMA and the avowed ideals of the organisation. Rotarians also recognised and honoured Dr V
Chandra Mouleeswaran, Neurologist in the function.
It
was indeed a day to remember for SYMA.
With
regards – S. Sampathkumar
Secretary
SYMA
