Falling in love !! - மாங்குயிலே பூங்குயிலே

Cities are concrete jungles – those living in apartments are poor because they get to see nothing but walls ! so an odd bird coming nearer is an oasis. Just fall in love on seeing them !  - they don’t come in great numbers.  Pigeons are more .. but green  parrots look so attractive !!  

1989ல் வெளிவந்து இன்றைக்கும் பட்டி தொட்டி எல்லாம் முழங்கும் பாடல் - 'மாங்குயிலே பூங்குயிலே' - கங்கைஅமரன் தயாரித்து இயக்கிய படம் - *கரகாட்டக்காரன்*   ராமராஜனுக்கு பெரிய திருப்பமாக அமைந்த  படம்.   கவுண்டமணி, செந்தில் இணைந்து நடித்த நகைச்சுவை பிரமாதம்.   இளையராஜாவின் கிராமிய இசையில் கரகாட்டக் கலைக்கு புத்துயிரும் மதிப்பும் பெற்றுத்தந்த திரைப்படம்.  

முத்து முத்துக் கண்ணால, நான் சுத்தி வந்தேன் பின்னால

மாங்குயிலே பூங்குயிலே  சேதி ஒண்ணு கேளு

உன்ன மாலையிடத் தேடி வரும் நாளு எந்த நாளு

 ஆமாம் மாங்குயில் யாரு !!!  

Parrot is the generic term which can refer to any bird which belongs to the order psittaciformes. There are about 400 species of parrots and about 160 face some threat or the other.    Parakeet is a term used to describe slender bodied parrots with long tails. So all parakeets are parrots but all parrots are not parakeets.   

கண்டதும் காதல் கொண்டேன் என்பது வழக்கு மொழி !! - நீங்கள் அழகு என ஒன்றை நினைக்கும்போது, பேரழகு பக்கத்தில் நின்றால் என்ன செய்வீர்கள் !!    காதல் சினிமாவில் மிகைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.  இலக்கியங்கள் கொண்டாடிய காதலும், இணையங்கள் கொண்டாடும் காதலும்ஒன்றல்ல !!  .. தமிழ் இலக்கியங்களில் 'திணை' என்பது ஒழுக்கம். மனம் ஒன்றுபட்ட தலைவனும் தலைவியும் ஒன்றுகூடி தாம் அனுபவித்த இன்பம் இப்படிப்பட்டது என்று பிறருக்குச் சொல்ல முடியாததாய் மனத்தினுள், அதாவது அகத்தினுள் அனுபவிக்கும் உணர்ச்சியே அகத்திணையாகும்!  

திருவள்ளுவர் புணர்ச்சி விதும்பல் என்று ஒரு அதிகாரம் தந்துள்ளார். கண்டவுடனே ஆனந்தத்தை தருவது காதல்.   அதில் இருந்து ஒன்று இங்கே :  

உள்ளக் களித்தலும் காண மகிழ்தலும்

கள்ளுக்கில் காமத்திற் குண்டு.  

நினைத்த பொழுதிலே களிப்படைவதும், கண்டபொழுதிலே மகிழ்ச்சி அடைவதும் ஆகிய இரண்டு நிலையும், கள்ளுக்குக் கிடையாது; காமத்திற்கு உண்டு - இங்கே காமம் என்பதை காதல் என்றே கொள்ளலாம்.  

Certainly a great sight ! – just as I had fallen love with this rose-ringed parakeet, came flying a bird which I have never seen before.  Colourful birds have seen as pets – love-birds in cage – this was much bigger – clad in yellow with black on its wings ! – oh so lovely !! – proposed to her immediately.  

மாங்குயில் (as suggested by Google images) (இலங்கை வழக்கு: மாம்பழத்தி) உடலில் மஞ்சள் நிறமும் இறக்கையில் கறுப்பு நிறமும் கொண்ட பறவை. இதன் அறிவியல் பெயர் ஓரியோலசு குன்டூ (Oriolus kundoo). கண்ணருகேயும் கறுப்புத் திட்டுகள் இருக்கும். 

The Indian golden oriole (Oriolus kundoo) is a species of oriole found in the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia. The species was formerly considered to be a subspecies of the Eurasian golden oriole, but is now considered a full species.  The Indian golden oriole was described by the English naturalist William Henry Sykes in 1832 and given the binomial name Oriolus kundoo.  

In 2005, the ornithologists Pamela Rasmussen and John Anderton in their Birds of South Asia decided to treat the two varieties as separate species based on the differences in morphology, plumage, calls and the fact that the two varieties do not intergrade.
