Narayana, saved this Cow and .. .. calf !!

14.5.2023 was Mother’s Day and Internet flowed with photos of mothers.

 

தாய்மை என்பது வரம் ! ஏனோ மாநகரங்களில் இப்போது எங்கு நோக்கினும் செயற்கை பிள்ளைப்பேறு மருத்துவமனைகள் கண்ணில் படுகின்றன.  ஏராளமான விளம்பரங்கள் வேறு !!!  சிலர் தங்கள் எழுத்தில் 'எங்கம்மா போல வருமா!' என்று கவிதைகள் -    பத்து குழந்தை இருந்தாலும் தாயின் அன்பில் வேறுபாடு கிடையாது. குழந்தையை உச்சி முகர்ந்து கொஞ்சி மகிழ்வாள் என !!  - உங்களுக்கு தெரிந்து பத்து குழந்தைகள் பெற்றவர்கள் இப்போது உள்ளார்களா !!

 

தாய்ப்பாசம் பொதுவானது.   மனிதர்கள் கொண்டிருக்கும் தாய்ப்பாசத்திற்கும், விலங்குகளும் பறவைகளும் கொண்டிருக்கும் தாய்ப்பாசத்திற்கும்   வேறுபாடு உண்டு. விலங்கினத்திடமும் பறவையினத்திடமும் தாய்ப்பாசம் என்பது குறுகிய காலத்திற்குத்தான். அதன்பின் அவை தாம் ஈன்ற குழந்தையை  மறந்துவிடுகின்றன. மனிதர்கள் அப்படி மறப்பதில்லை. இதிலும் நம் பாரததேச மக்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறப்பம்சம் உண்டு.  

சூரிய குலவம்ச வழி மன்னர்களில் ரகு என்பவன் மிகவும் புகழுடன் வாழ்ந்தான். அவனுடைய மகன் அஜன். இந்த அஜனுடைய புதல்வனே தசரதன்.   அஜனின் மனைவி  இந்துமதி தேவகன்னிகை,  தயரதன் பத்து மாதங்கள் அரும்பு முன்னரே இவள் தேவலோகம் சென்றுவிட, அஜன், தசரதனை பாசம் பொழிந்து வளர்த்த தந்தை. அன்பையும் பாசத்தையும் பொழிந்த தந்தையர்கள் ஏராளம்.  

Unlike other places at Thiruvallikkeni, the land of Krishna – there are cows are roaming on the street.  The once timid gentle animals are of late found angry, unruly attackers – no post on the Cattle menace but on the kind-hearted Narayana, the cow-herd.  

This morning photographed this extraordinarily beautiful calf suckling milk from its mother. It was indeed pleasing ..  at Tank Square [கைரவிணீ குளக்கரை] one can always find some cows tethered and being milked.  Narayanan, owner of the cows is a well-known person. 

Heard from him that this beautiful cow about a couple of months was on sale to a meat shop at Minjur (sad, that cows are not properly maintained even in rural places).  Narayanan gave them thousand rupees more and took the cow home, which has now given birth to this beautiful calf.  

Just as we criticize them most times, we must also appreciate  Narayanan for saving the cow and thereby a calf ! – Nice Narayana !!
