ācweorna – wonder what ?? - ஐயா எனக்கு இன்னொரு பேர் இருக்கு !!

Ever heard of the word – ācweorna –   wonder what it refers to ?? - ஐயா  எனக்கு இன்னொரு பேர் இருக்கு   !!

They are chirpy, extremely active, adorable !  - the Squirrels.  Squirrels are members of the family Sciuridae, a family that includes small or medium-size rodents.  

The word squirrel, first attested in 1327, comes from the Anglo-Norman esquirel which is from the Old French escurel, the reflex of a Latin word sciurus, which was taken from the Ancient Greek word σκίουρος  'shadow-tailed', referring to the long bushy tail which many of its members have. The native Old English word for the squirrel, ācweorna, survived only into Middle English (as aquerne) before being replaced. 

 

In the greatest epic Ramayana, there are so many interesting anecdotes.  One  among the most amazing ones -  is of the little squirrel.  Lord Sri Rama had to cross the sea to reach Lanka and his warriors were involved in building bridge across the sea.  Mighty monkeys and powerful bears were carrying huge bolsters and putting them on the sea and alongside was a small squirrel, putting small pebbles and then drenched itself in sea water, ran to shore, rolled itself thus making its body full of sand – then off-loading that sand on the bridge – it was perfect example of not getting overawed by the situation nor by what others did, but contributing one’s mite towards fulfillment of the target. ~ and we know that Lord Sri Rama was so compassionate .. .. 

                     The squirrel family includes tree squirrels, ground squirrels, chipmunks, marmots (including woodchucks), flying squirrels, and prairie dogs amongst other rodents. Squirrels are indigenous to Asia, Americas, Eurasia, and Africa, and were introduced by humans to Australia.  Squirrels get lots of attention from humans, but not always much appreciation. We tend to dwell on the stolen birdseed or the occupied attics, yet squirrels have a long, mostly harmless — and often entertaining — history of living in our midst. 

Move aside, massive AAA titles, Squirrel With a Gun is on its way to wreak absolute havoc.  Squirrel with a gun is a sandbox game that focuses on exploration and shooting combat. For those of you who may be wondering what the upcoming game is about, spoiler alert: it’s in the name. The bizarre video game about a totally badass squirrel is being developed using Unreal Engine 5.  

The promo claims - throughout your gaming journey, we are sure that you have played as a cowboy with a revolver, an alien with an extraterrestrial weapon, or a soldier with a grenade, but it’s time for all of those to make way for the craziest recent video game concept, a squirrel going around shooting everybody with its firearm. Squirrel With a Gun sounds like a wacky but extremely enjoyable blast. Defend yourself from random encounters with Agents, using various weapons. Climb and jump across platforms with your natural squirrel skill. Use weapon recoil to cross even greater gaps.
