Kudumbam oru kathambam !!

This mannequin in front of a shop was quite attractive – there are times when women after long search (making one tired – including the accompanying spouse and the salesman) settle for that beautiful dress on display.   Mannequins are dummy figures / an articulated doll used by artists, tailors, dressmakers, shops and more to display the fabrics and textiles.  

 

இன்று காலை ஒரு பழைய பாடலை கேட்டேன் - MS விஸ்வநாதன் இசையில், கண்ணதாசன் வரிகளில் -இசையரசர் குரலில்.  சாதாரணமாக பழைய படங்களை இப்போது எல்லாரும் கிண்டல் அடிக்கிறார்கள். சிவாஜி அதீத நடிப்பு என்பது போல ! - பல முன்னாள் படங்கள் இன்று பார்த்தால் -இதை எப்படி அன்று ரசித்தோம் என்று நினைக்க தோன்றுகிறது.

Genealogists use oral interviews, historical records, genetic analysis, and other records to obtain information about a family and to demonstrate kinship and pedigrees of its members. The results are often displayed in charts or written as narratives. The field of family history is broader than genealogy, and covers not just lineage but also family and community history and biography. 

Kudumbam Oru Kadambam was a play written by Visu who also starred. S. P. Muthuraman saw the play and, impressed, decided to adapt it for the screen; Visu was chosen to reprise his role, making his debut as a film actor.   

காலங்கள் மாறிவிட்டன - குடும்பம் என்றால் என்ன என்பதன் அர்த்தம் கூட மாறிவிட்டதா !  -  முதலில் கூறிய பாடல் - படத்தின் பேரும் ஒன்றுதான்.   1981ம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த விசு படம் - 'குடும்பம் ஒரு கதம்பம்' -  எஸ். பி. முத்துராமன் இயக்கத்தில் வெளிவந்த இத்திரைப்படத்தில்  கதை வசனம் எழுதியதோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல், சீனிவாச ராகவன் என்கிற முக்கிய வேடத்திலும் நடித்தார் விசு.  இதுதான் விசுவிற்கு முதல் படம் என்பது நான் இதுவரை அறிந்திராத செய்தி.  இதோ அந்த படத்தின் பிரபலமான பாடலின் சில வரிகள் : 

குடும்பம் ஒரு கதம்பம் பல வண்ணம் பல வண்ணம்

தினமும் மதி மயங்கும் பல எண்ணம் பல எண்ணம்

 

இரண்டு குதிரையிலே ஒரு மனிதன் போவதென்ன

இரண்டு நினைவுகளில் சில மனிதர் வாழ்வதென்ன 

காலங்கள்தோறும் அவர் சிந்தனையில் மாற்றமென்ன

மனிதன் நினைக்கின்றான் இறைவன் அதை மாற்றுகின்றான்
