The
equestrian statue of Thomas Munro , 1st Baronet, Major-General in the British
Army and Governor of Madras from 1820 to 1827, is a major landmark in Chennai city on the
arterial Mount Road. The bronze statue was sculpted by Francis Chantrey in the United
Kingdom in 1834 and shipped to Madras in 1839

amazes is on the R the gantry cranes of Port are seen and on the left High
Court and old lighthouse too are seen !!!
