This is more of a photo-feature than any article on a topic which generally may not be properly received – “Kiss’. Most people would have longed or dreamt a kiss in their teen, but would not like to talk about it .. .. those days, a Kissing scene in a movie would make it (A) rated !
A few months ago, sparks flew and there was much criticism on Rahul Gandhi’s alleged “flying kiss” in Parliament !
A symbolic kiss is frequent in Western cultures. A kiss can be "blown" to another by kissing the fingertips and then blowing the fingertips, pointing them in the direction of the recipient. This is used to convey affection, usually when parting or when the partners are physically distant but can view each other. Blown kisses (Flying Kiss) are also used when a person wishes to convey affection to a large crowd or audience. The term flying kiss is used in India to describe a blown kiss.
The air kiss is a pretence of kissing: the lips are pursed as if kissing, but without actually touching the other person's body. The onomatopoeic word mwah (a representation of the sound of a kiss) has entered Webster's dictionary.
On
that day of high-pitched battles in the Lok Sabha, women MPs of the BJP accused
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of making an “inappropriate gesture” by giving
“flying kiss” towards Union Minister Smriti Irani towards Union Minister Smriti
Irani and gave a written complaint to Speaker Om Birla. The complaint to Mr. Birla was signed by more
than 20 women parliamentarians, including Union Ministers Shobha Karandlaje and
Darshana Jardosh.
The subject matter of this post is not politics, nor Rajiv’s
gesture, nor the kiss – but the photo of two beautiful Parakeets
preening or pecking the other on air. Have
never seen this before
