Black-and-White - images combine black and white to produce a range of achromatic brightnesses of grey. It is also known as greyscale in technical settings. The history of various visual media began with black and white, and as technology improved, altered to color.
A good friend teased me to post a colour photo of Black & white object !! and offered his wisdom on what B&W means to him !!! So this has a White bird, a fleeting black one with green background of pond water.
Passing of an year adds age – one becomes older by an year !! need not become mature or wiser. As one ages, people are worried of falling hair, baldness and greying of hair. Greying, euphemism ! – for Indians – black becoming white, exhibiting that the person is no longer young; and to those possessing it is a show of wisdom !!!
Technically, Black is the absence of light. Unlike white and other hues, pure black can exist in nature without any light at all. Some consider white to be a colour, because white light comprises all hues on the visible light spectrum.
As the busy week
starts, and when it is a few minutes to start for the Office to go – you tend
to think of what to wear to Office ?
[not for the gender who readies their wear for the whole of the coming
week and keeps debating and changing their choices everyday morning !] For those unable to decide [colour
combination is always bemusing !] – wearing a white shirt is the easiest. People tend to wear white shirts for
Interviews, marriages and to more places whenever they want to be very
presentable - it would simply go with
everything else – blue pants, black ones, khaki and the other indescribable
colours. A
perfect white shirt is more elusive than a perfect job !!
The idiom "black
and white" signifies something that is clear, simple, and straightforward,
with no room for ambiguity or shades of gray. It implies a situation with a definite
right and wrong, or a written or printed form of something. The phrase also refers to something being in
writing or printed form, as opposed to just being said.
To some - Black & White invigorates memory of a blended Scotch whisky produced by Diageo in
Scotland. It was originally produced by the London-based James Buchanan &
Co Ltd, which was founded by James Buchanan. When it was first made in 1879, it
was Initially known as Buchanan's Blend and then House of Commons (after the
British House of Commons). Its nickname,
referring to the black and white labelling, was eventually adopted as the
official brand instead. The brand's
motif (featuring a black Scottish Terrier and a white West Highland White
Terrier) was conceived by James Buchanan during the 1890s. This pic is from commons.wikimedia.org –
public domain while the B&W birds was taken by me yesterday at Kairavini thirukkulam.
